About Me

Sitting dragon pictured.

I am interested in computers, video games, and the internet. Naturally, this means that I feel right at home on VRChat where there are lots of people who have similar interests and skills. As for myself, I am probably better at the programming side of things, but I like doing 3D modeling and other artistic things as well.

I plan to use my skills to sell assets, worlds, and software. So far I've made a few worlds, and even some custom assets for my avatars.

I'm also currently working on an asset database program which can be used by people to categorize and search through their assets easily. It will also help to search through assets with foreign language names, that are hard to read. Users will be able to add a tag with a translation and find it from a search box without renaming the file. I also want to add auditing features later to quickly review any code or unusual file formats before importing them into Unity engine.

Assets/Software

Horns for Selestia

I liked the horns on the avatar I use most often, so I mimicked their appearance for my own custom avatars. I made the shape of the horns, the texture, the normal mapping, and configured the materials with Blender and Unity.

VRChat Worlds

Morse Code Madness world pictured.

Morse Code Madness

A competitive morse code keying game. Players win by getting the highest accuracy and number of converted symbols within the match time. Scores are displayed on a syncronized scoreboard.

I created this world in just 5 weeks. I did all the programming for the game and modeling of the ship (USS Blue Ridge) and telegraph key. For hanging out with friends the world has pens, a video player, and a simple mirror with performance options.

One day I plan to polish it up, but for now it is functional with only 1 known minor bug.

Udon Space Program (WIP)

Not yet published.

This world will be kind of like Kerbal Space Program, but only the flight part, and with infinite fuel. So far I have the orbital motion and rendering working well, but there are a number of tricky problems left to solve before it is finished.

Creature Catch is a game where players can catch a variety of animals that roam the map using a net or other traps. So far I have a basic AI working where herds of animals sort of roam around and do things animals tend to do like sleeping and drinking water. There's also a clock and the lighting in the world changes as the sun comes up and goes down again.

I used terrain generation techniques I learned last year to generate the terrain and trees before uploading to VRChat. When completed, this process will work at runtime using a seed. Players will have a new experience each time they join the world.
